Ron is considered one of the leading immigration lawyers in Canada. He formerly worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and as a human rights lawyer for UN peacekeeping in Asia. As a Toronto-based immigration lawyer, he has represented numerous applicants seeking permanent residency, Canadian citizenship or refugee status. He has also appeared in dozens of Federal Court Trial and Appeal-level cases including three appearances in the Supreme Court of Canada in: Suresh v. MCI, Hernandez v. MCI and Kanthasamy v. MCI.

As an expert in immigration law, he has been a speaker at conferences organized by the Canadian Bar Association; Ontario Bar Association; Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers; Law Society of Ontario; Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants; and Osgoode Hall Law School. His column on immigration law in Canadian Lawyer, an online publication, has a large readership amongst immigration practitioners across Canada.  He is also a published author, including a book which documents his work as a legal adviser to the UN. Charlotte is called to the Ontario bar and has experience serving clients on a wide variety of immigration, refugee, and citizenship applications.

She studied law at the University of Ottawa, where she worked with refugee clients at the Integrated Legal Services of Ottawa and completed an internship with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR). In Ottawa Charlotte was also involved in community organizing and public legal education with the Ottawa Sanctuary Network. After law school, Charlotte moved to Toronto to complete her legal training and begin practicing immigration and refugee law.

Charlotte approaches each client’s unique situation with dedication, skill, and a thorough understanding of Canada’s immigration programs.
